Chicken - Small - Young - Male - Bird - Frizzle Roosters
Description
A rooster of the "frizzle" breed is smaller than a "normal" chicken (more of a banty size) with long, silky feathers that "curl," thus giving the bird a "frizzled" appearance. These white, fluffy-looking roosters were born in August of 2008 and decided to become "bad boys" recently by picking on one another to the point they had to be separated. They are wonderful with other birds and hens of any breed.....but like siblings who can't get along, they are protective and would do best in a coop where they have a small flock of hens to themselves. There are three to choose from.....two are "frizzly" (with curled feathers), but one is smoothly feathered since frizzles don't breed "true" (about 1/4 of each clutch is smooth-feathered and the rest are curly). These birds were lovingly raised in a large secure area with lots of human interaction. They are healthy and ready to lead their own group of hens. They are available as pets only and can be returned at any time if the situation does not work out. Please call Kristi at 406-381-3325 or e-mail at kswisher@fs.fed.us.
