Pancho was one of the three dogs abandoned by the owners and turned into our rescue by the roommate. Of the three, Pancho is the one who has adjusted the best to his new situation. He rooms with Berry and they used to squabble over the food until they both realized there would always be enough to eat......now they can eat bones side by side with nary a grumble. A few months ago, unknown people tried to break into our kennels and steal Pancho and Berry......they didn't succeed, but Pancho got so scared that he damaged some nerves in his backend trying to get away. It took weeks before he could stand for any length of time.....much less walk. He is better now and even though he really likes people, after dark he is cautious of everyone.
